Marvel Legends Daredevil Hobgoblin BAF

I ordered Daredevil from the new Hobgoblin Build a Figure series from Dorksidetoys.com in the states as I thought I'd be waiting a while to see these guys in the UK, and yep, still not seen them here.

Like I said, this is from the Hobgoblin BAF wave but I won't be finishing the Hobgoblin. I have pizza eating Spidey and now Daredevil. If I come across Spider-Man 2099 in the wild here then I'll pick him up, but I'm not too interested in the other figures. Daredevil comes with the right arm of Hobgoblin and one of his pumpkin bombs

The only accessories Daredevil comes with are his two billy clubs which are nicely sculpted but are made out of a really soft gummy plastic which I don't love, but they're good for what they're for. They also clip together but they don't become long enough for Matt Murdock's cane, so I'll be keeping them separated.

They also sit nicely in his holster on his hip, which sadly keeps riding down but again, not the end of the world

The gummy clubs and slightly loose holster aren't the end of the world because this figure really is great. The paint apps are nice and clean with a nice dark read for the majority of the suit and a great looking lighter red for his boots, gloves, DD on his chest and eyes.

I specifically like the paint colour Hasbro used for the flesh tones on Daredevil's face, I think it's a really natural looking colour and it's applied cleanly

Articulation wise, Daredevil's head is on a ball joint so he can look left and right and up and down. His shoulders are hinged and on a ball joint so they can move up and down and outwards, the elbows have a double joint, and his hands swivel and bend up and down.

He has a torso crunch meaning he can move back and forth a little, he has a waist swivel, hip joints, thigh swivels, double jointed knees, boot swivel, foot articulation and ankle pivot.

I completely recommend this figure, he's an excellent Daredevil figure and a great addition to my Avengers team.

WWE Stack Down Universe Series 1 Blind Bag Figures

I've seen the Stack Down play sets before but I've never been overly interested in them due to space, but when I spotted these blind bag figures I picked a few up.

The wrestlers that you can get are:

John Cena (shirtless)
Roman Reigns
Brock Lesnar
Daniel Bryan
Undertaker
Sin Cara
Kofi Kingston
Wade Barrett
The Rock
Sheamus
Randy Orton
and John Cena (red shirt and cap)

Out of the 12 superstars you can get I'd like Undertaker, Reigns, Bryan, Brock, Rocky and Orton. But really, I'd enjoy any of these.

Upon opening I got (in order)

Daniel Bryan!

YES! YES! YES!

Next up was Sin Cara

Sadly the paint application around Sin Cara's mask has been put on off centre

And finally, the Dead Man!

I really like these figures! They look great and the articulation is really pretty great. The head's on a ball joint so moves around and up and down. The shoulders are also on ball joints, the elbows are hinged and the wrists swivel. There's waist articulation, the hips are on a ball joint so move forward and back, not out too much though. The knees also have a joint.

One of the best things about these little figures is that there are holes around the bodies of the wrestlers meaning that you can plug their hands in and get some fun poses!

The paint apps for these (apart from Sin Cara's mask) are all really clean... Actually thinking about it, I wonder if these are stickers instead of paint.

You can also dissemble these guys, like taking off Sin Cara's robe and The Undertaker's hat and jacket.

I'll definitely be looking to add more of these wee guys to my collection, they're so cool!

Marvel Legends Inifnite Series Spider-Man Build a Figure Hobgoblin Wave

Several reasons why I wanted to pick this figure up: One, this is a seriously cool looking comic accurate Spidey; two, it comes with a half masked head sculpt - awesome!; three, PIZZA. Spidey comes with a slice. I really don't know why, but it's freaking brilliant.

Spider-Man also comes with Hobgoblin's leg for the BAF

Spidey gets extra hands, web thwipping hands, clenched fists, and wall crawling hands

And as mentioned, you get his half masked face.

Out of packaging this Spider-Man is a really nice figure. The paint is really pretty neat although I've heard some complaints about sloppy paint applications, especially round the eyes, but thankfully my figure is really quite neat.

The half masked head is a really nice sculpt and the paint is a really nice flesh tone, and thankfully it means he can eat his 'za! The wall crawling hands hold the slice perfectly, with the cheese running down in between fingers.

Articulation is really pretty good on this guy. His head is on a ball and hinge joint, the shoulders have an armpit type swivel joint and there's a hinge letting his arm move up and down, there's a bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, and his wrists swivel and bend.

Spidey has a torso crunch, waist swivel, hip swivel, legs moves forward and back, he has thigh rotation, double jointed knees ankle articulation and pivot. All in all, it makes for a really nice piece.

It's such great fun to pose this guy, and best of all, you can get Spider-Man into a handstand, which is incredibly cool.

And here he is with Figma Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel Legends Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spidey, and Marvel Legends Superior Spider-Man.

If you're a Spider-Man or Marvel Legends fan I recommend picking this guy up.

February ZBox: Undead from Zavvi

Zavvi, a UK online based store, has started their own monthly subscription box. It's been going for a couple of months now but when I heard that this month was going to be undead themed, I thought I'd pay the £20, and see what I got.

First up it comes with the kind of mandatory magazine that sub boxes come with now.

Zombie socks! This is a fun addition to this box for sure, and they're nice and soft!

A nice Mini Mates set based on The Walking Dead, including Dexter and Dreadlock Zombie.

The music of John Carpenter's The Fog on a nice green coloured vinyl.

A DVD of "Zombies: A Living History" documentary from the History Channel.

A pack of zombie badges that are kind of fun.

Quite a cool car sticker showing that you're permitted to hunt zombies in the UK.

A brain licker candy sweet.

And of course, a t-shirt. This is a very cool design though!

Lastly, I just want to show off the inside of the box, it's a nice touch to put this detail in.

Will I order the next one? Not sure yet. It is Retro themed, so I'm tempted, and this isn't a bad box, but these monthly subscription boxes can be really hit and miss...
