Disney Wikkeez Series 1 Blind Bags

Yes the bag's open. I managed to take a few photos of these guys without realising that the memory card wasn't in my camera. WINNER!

I picked up one of these little blind bags in Asda today. I'd never seen them before, so I figured it'd be fun to see what they're all about. So these are Disney Wikkeez series 1 blind bag toys that include 2 of the mini figures and one sticker. It says on the packet that they're are 50 to collect (and this only series 1! Disney know how to make money yo!) and that you can "collect, trade & play" with them. I don't think there's any kind of game you can play with them, there's no instructions or anything, but I'm not sure.

So before the figures, let me show you the Kermit sticker I got

So the sticker is a picture of the Kermit toy, which is kind of cool.

Figure wise I got Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and Jak Jak from The Incredibles!

They're nicely little sculpted things, and the paint details are very fun - especially on Captain Jack. The back of them have little grooves in them, that I have no idea what they're for.

They're cool though, but I don't think I'll pick up more.

I've loved Disney since I was little, so I was happy to add a couple of these to my collection. And maybe we'll see Star Wars and Marvel characters added to this line - those are something I'd really be interested in picking up!

Teeange Mutant Ninja Turtles Orange Mutagen Ooze

I was having a look at the very small toy selection in my local Tesco superstore today, and I found the new coloured mutagen! Well, I say I found the new coloured mutagen - I found a box of orange mutagen. None of the other colours. "Never mind", I think "I really liked the original stuff that gave me Raphael, and if this is orange then a Michelangelo would be a great addition!"

So I picked it up, bought it, and home I came. And this stuff is orange, and I have to say, I love it!

The canister is exactly the same as the original, just with the new super colourful ooze in it!

I won't bother going on about the lid again, I covered that enough in the original review, and it's exactly the same here.

So like I said, here I am expecting to find Michelangelo in all this ooze and...

Hold on a minute...

Yep, that's definitely Donatello. Not that that's an issue you understand, I just did not expect to see Donatello come out of orange ooze!

So yeah, Donatello joins his bro Raphael out of the mutagen canisters!

He's an excellent little sculpt and comes in Donatello's olive green. He also has his weapon sculpted on his back, the little bo staff is tucked under his belt. He fits nicely with Raphael and their canisters are pretty cool together!

Now I just need to find Mikey and Leo!!

Power Rangers Megaforce Megabloks blind bag

OK, firstly, sorry about the lack of posts recently! I started a new job and I've been super busy! Back to it though! Been adding to my collection and I've found a couple of fun little things on my travels today. One of which was this Power Rangers blind bag.

Honestly, the only Power Rangers I know of are the originals. I really dug that show when I was younger, but it wasn't a particular favourite or anything. But when I saw these blind bag Power Rangers figures in Tesco today I thought it'd be fun to grab one and take a look at it.

So this is just your normal Megabloks mini figure. It comes in pieces, that you pop together and goes on it's own small block stand. The nice thing about this fig is that the helmet goes over the little hooded head!

I'll be honest though, I don't know who this Ranger is. I'm assuming it's the Black Ranger from this new iteration of the Power Rangers. Either way he's now sitting with my Halo Megabloks...

He's pretty neat though I think his feet look a little off. He has a nice paint job though, and a cool little gun accessory as his weapon.

Articulation is to be expected from a Megablok mini fig. His head turns, his arms and wrists swivel, and his hips and ankles swivel.

I won't be picking up anymore of these, but I couldn't resist a Power Ranger blind bag!

SH Figuarts Super Mario and Diorama Play Sets A & B

I've mentioned before my love of Mario so I was super excited to pick up these the other day from a shop! In the UK! Seriously, this kind of stuff is not usually found in these parts! These are the three sets currently available made by S.H. Figuarts from Tamashii Nations and Bandai and I was lucky enough to pick them all up from Forbidden Planet.

Here's the really nice window box packaging it comes in, front and back

Mario looks incredible, seriously, like he's been lifted straight of Super Mario 3D World.

Mario has great articulation for a little guy. You can't really move his head but that's ok, his arms move round from the shoulders and have a great joint at the elbow and his wrists swivel. No waist rotation but his hips swivel, his knees bend really far and his ankles move his feet up and down nicely. You can get him in some classic Mario poses.

Along with Mario, you get a super mushroom

Again, this little 'shroom looks as though it's been lifted straight off of the screen. Sharp paint and sculpted little eyes and white spots.

You get a question block

Solid yellow with white sculpted on question marks, and the rivets are a light brown.

And finally you get a super shiny coin with a small stand

This coin is SO SHINY! It's very cool though, and the little clear stand is a great, much needed, addition.

The first play set we'll look at is the Diorama Play Set A, which comes with a grass green base

This has three separate peg holes but has two small plugs so you can cover a couple at once, a really neat touch

It comes with a couple of pieces needed to pose Mario with, the blue piece plugs into his back and the clear stand goes from bas to back

Three blocks, two brick blocks and a question block

These also come with a clear stand so you can get your display going

You also get a beautifully sculpted and painted goomba and another coin, this time with a taller stand

Diorama Play Set B is also full of cool extras so that you can get a great looking Super Mario display on your shelf.

The big things are the two warp pipes, one tall and one short. The tall pipe is deeper whereas the short pipe is much more shallow. The great thing here is, you can switch these out so you can move the deeper section out, putting the shallow section on the longer pipe body.

Spare hands that are easily switched out

You get a koopa shell and clear pegs that can be held in the spare hands

You get a second goomba!

And you get another coin, that has two stands - one tall and one short, bringing the coin count to three!

Putting all three sets together, you get some very cool displays

Seriously, I'm in love with these sets. They're just brilliant. If you can pick up all three, I'd highly recommend it. If however you can only afford Mario, he's well worth a buy. These guys are a little pricey, but I think it's brilliant that they were all packaged and sold separately. It keeps the cost down and means you don't need the accessory packs if you don't need them. I think I'll probably take more pictures of these sets and post them up here in the future, this guy is really good fun to play with!

I really hope SH Figuarts get to do more of these sets with other characters - Luigi, Bowser, a full koopa, Toad, a Boo with a flight stand, the options with this are almost limitless!!
