Super Mario K'Nex Series 4 Blind Bags

My local Forbidden Planet has these in stock, and you know what? Every one of them is a Bob-omb. You can feel the massive round body. But as I was shopping the other day I found 2 bags in amongst a bunch of the new Thomas the Tank Engine blind bags, so I bought them up!

I really like the little K'Nex Mario figs, especially for the enemies, I have that Bob-omb I was talking about in my videogame display. I felt both bags and made sure I was getting different figures, and this is who I got.

Firstly

Green Toad! He's a neat little figure. His arms are articulates as is his massive head.

Second up I got a character I really dig the design of

Bowser Jr! This little fig has head rotation, his arms and legs are articulated and he even has wrist swivel.

Both of these figures are easy little builds and both look really cool so I'm glad I picked them up. If I ever see more I'd no doubt add more to my collection.

The Simpsons Lego Series 2 Blind Bag Minifigures

I picked up 2 new blind bags on a whim the other day hoping I wouldn't pick up any other doubles.

Let's get these cracked open and see what we get.

First up...

Groundskeeper Willie! Very happy with this minifig, he's a great sculpt and the plunger accessory is so much fun.

Secondly...

Patty Bouvier! Again a nice figure, shame I'm missing Selma of course. And I kind of wish she came with a cigarette as an accessory, but I know they couldn't do that!

Just a quick post guys, stay tuned for more real soon!

The Simpsons Lego Series 1 Blind Bag Minifigures

So just a super quick post as I just grabbed one bag the other day and as I only have two of the series 1 minifigs at the moment I figured my chances would be ok. And thankfully, they were!

I got me a Milhouse van Houten! Excellent. He even comes with a copy of Biclops comic - us glasses wearers have got to stick together! I seem to be really be filling out Springfield Elementary what with all the kids I've got from these blind bags so far!

Lego Series 13 Blind Bag Minifigures

Over the past couple of days I've picked up 5 blind bags of Series 13 Lego minifigs. I gave the initial few I got a good few months ago to my nephew as he's a big Lego fan, so I lost the joiner, space trooper and snake charmer. So I was looking to replenish this wave for me.

So first up was:

The awesome space trooper with different face prints on each side of his head. Really glad to have him back. He has an air of Halo about him which I dig.

Secondly I pulled

Aw come on!!

OK. Third...

Another hot dog guy double.. Annoying!

Fourth must be better...

Not cool. That's another double for me - the disco diva.

So far, 1 from 4. That's an incredibly poor ratio. Let's hope for something a little better for my fifth and final bag.

Fantastic! The archaeologist! 2 things: I always wanted to be an archaeologist when I was a kid, and secondly, it's excellent to see women represented by Lego in such cool jobs!

I only need a few more to complete this wave, but I might have to go to eBay if I really want them, that way there's no chance of doubles!!

Lego The Simpsons Series 2 Blind Bag Minifigures

So I went out for a sandwich for my lunch and, as I'm incredibly weak willed, I grabbed another 2 packs of The Simpsons Lego series 2 blind bags. I was hoping my luck would continue with two new figures. I should be so lucky...

Another Martin! Didn't even bother building him, no point at all! Still a great minifigure though.

I was very happy with the second figure though:

Comic Book Guy! Really happy with this minifigure, but you know my very favourite part? The little moulded Squishee cup. I love how the lid is a small see though piece with a little straw. It looks perfect!

The sour that goes with this sweetness though? It's being reported that Harry Shearer - the voice of Ned Flanders, Kent Brockman, Principal Skinner, Mr Burns, Smithers, Lenny, Otto, Dr Hibbert among many more - is leaving The Simpsons. Personally I don't think the show will function nearly as well without him, but I guess we'll see, as no doubt the will plow on and continue making the show.

The Simpsons Lego Series One Blind Bags

I have had trouble tracking down any of the first series of the Lego Simpsons blind bags, but I found some while I was out the other day so I picked a couple up.

This first series includes:

Homer with TV remote and donut
Bart with skateboard
Marge with purse and a copy of Donut Fancy
Lisa with saxophone
Maggie with Bobo the bear
Grandpa with a copy of the Springfield Shopper
Ned Flanders with an "I love south paws" mug and his tool box with sticker "Property of Ned Flanders" on it
Krusty the clown with cream pie
Milhouse with a copy of "Biclops" comic
Ralph with his "I choo choo choose you" Valentine card
Apu with Squishee cup
Nelson Muntz with baseball bat
Itchy with club
Scratchy with axe
Chief Wiggum with megaphone and truncheon
Mr Burns with Blinky the fish and a rod of plutonium

I don't actually have any of the first series of Simpsons Lego figures so whatever I pulled I was good with me!

First up I got

Nelson with his (vaguely sinister) baseball bat!!

and secondly I pulled

Krusty and his hilarious pie!!

Happy with these guys and I'll be on the look out for more!

Lego Star Wars Microfighters AT-AT Set 75075

The second series of Lego Star Wars Microfighters have been released and having picked up the original trilogy vehicles from the first series, how could I turn these down? This series, which takes the vehicles from Star Wars, and shrinks them down into an utterly adorable ride on vehicle. I have only picked up the two original trilogy vehicles in this wave - the AT-AT and the Snowspeeder - and in this review I'll be looking at the AT-AT.

This set, as with all of them, comes with a minifigure. The minifigure with this set, is unsurprisingly, an AT-AT pilot.

And underneath the helmet, the Imperial officer looks nice and angry!

As far as the AT-AT goes, it's an easy build that takes about 15 minutes and looks great when it's complete.

And to give you a bit of size perspective

These really are small, but they look great! And they don't take up nearly as much room (or as much of a bite out of your bank balance) as the full size versions.

There is a little articulation in the vehicle. The head moves up and down and the legs move back and forth as do the ankles.

If, like me, you don't have the money or space for the full size versions of the vehicles from Star Wars, these are for you!

WWE Stack Down Universe Series 1 Blind Bag Figures

I've seen the Stack Down play sets before but I've never been overly interested in them due to space, but when I spotted these blind bag figures I picked a few up.

The wrestlers that you can get are:

John Cena (shirtless)
Roman Reigns
Brock Lesnar
Daniel Bryan
Undertaker
Sin Cara
Kofi Kingston
Wade Barrett
The Rock
Sheamus
Randy Orton
and John Cena (red shirt and cap)

Out of the 12 superstars you can get I'd like Undertaker, Reigns, Bryan, Brock, Rocky and Orton. But really, I'd enjoy any of these.

Upon opening I got (in order)

Daniel Bryan!

YES! YES! YES!

Next up was Sin Cara

Sadly the paint application around Sin Cara's mask has been put on off centre

And finally, the Dead Man!

I really like these figures! They look great and the articulation is really pretty great. The head's on a ball joint so moves around and up and down. The shoulders are also on ball joints, the elbows are hinged and the wrists swivel. There's waist articulation, the hips are on a ball joint so move forward and back, not out too much though. The knees also have a joint.

One of the best things about these little figures is that there are holes around the bodies of the wrestlers meaning that you can plug their hands in and get some fun poses!

The paint apps for these (apart from Sin Cara's mask) are all really clean... Actually thinking about it, I wonder if these are stickers instead of paint.

You can also dissemble these guys, like taking off Sin Cara's robe and The Undertaker's hat and jacket.

I'll definitely be looking to add more of these wee guys to my collection, they're so cool!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mini Ninja Figures

I'd never seen or heard of these guys before, but when I was walking through Asda I spotted them and knew I had to pick a few up!

These are compatible with Lego or Megabloks as they have holes in their feet that fit those pegs. These are just small figures, about an inch big, but they're quite fun!

I picked up 3 bags, each of which comes with a character card, and this is who I got

Dogpound, Metalhead and Shredder! Bit of a shame I didn't get any of the brothers, but these little guys are really quite fun!

No articulation on these little figures, but some nice detail and paint for their size. The lease pleasing is probably Shredder.

No purple paint sadly, but the silver that is used is pretty cool and very shiny.

Dogpound is pretty good looking, and they've given him some nice bulk seeing as he's only small

Sadly, he's bulky but short - just a little taller than Metalhead but much shorter than Shredder.

The detailing and paint is great on Dogpound though! Nice detailing in his face and paint apps on his legs.

Metalhead is my favourite though. I love his yellow paint apps on the detailing, and his shell is great!!

I'd like to try and get the turtles in this style, but that's the joy/curse of blind bag toys!

Glad I got to find these though, especially as I had no idea these were coming!
