World of Nintendo Yoshi
First off, thanks for the bashed up box Amazon!
I picked up Yoshi and Link from the new Jakks Pacific World of Nintendo line and we're going to take a look at Yoshi first.
Mario's pal Yoshi comes with a mystery item that's in cardboard mystery box. It's a really nice looking little box!
Upon opening it up we find an egg!
It's a nice little piece, hollow white plastic with neat green circles painted on it. It's a nice addition to Yoshi for sure, particularly for the price of these toys. They're really quite cheap but the quality is surprisingly high - as you can see by Yoshi himself.
He's a solid sculpt and the paint apps are very neat and clean. A great green colour, with nice white eyes, cheeks and stomach, brown boots, and red spines and shell.
The articulation is minimal but good and really all you need from Yoshi. His swivels side to side, his arms are on a ball and hinge join so they can move up and down and forward and back, and his hips swivel forward and back. No ankle or wrist articulation, but I have heard that Yoshi will be the next release after Luigi in the S H Figuarts line of Nintendo figures, so I guess if you're looking for a more articulated Yoshi you could hold out for that one.
Talking of the S H Figuarts line, Yoshi looks pretty great with the Figuarts Mario
If you're a Yoshi or Mario, or even Nintendo fan - or if you're looking to build a Smash Brothers collection - I'd definitely recommend this figure as he'll cost you less than a tenner, and he's a really good looking toy!
