NECA Alien Xenomorph

The last NECA xeno I looked at had it's faults. This guy though? So much better!

This xeno is based on the first Alien from... Well, Alien. With the translucent dome on his head, and amazing shine, almost slimy look to him.

The articulation is great, but the details are what make this figure really stand up as a great looking xeno.

Like I said, this xenomorph's articulation is pretty great. Head moves up and down and side to side, shoulders move up and down - but not out. There's a bicep swivel, a ball and hinge in the elbow, and in the wrist. There's an ab crunch that swivels too, hips go back and forth, double bend in the knee, ankle swivel and toe bend. And let's not forget the tail! The tail is about 8" and has a bendy wire in it so that you can pose it and use it to help keep the xeno stood up if necessary.

But look at those details! That's what makes this, in my opinion, probably the most affordable definitive version of the original xenomorph.

The shine to the black paint and silver on the teeth and nails is gorgeous, really giving this thing a feeling of life. The xeno has the long head, five fins on it's back, long tail and gangly appearance. All the little details are there too. The jaw opens letting the inner mouth jut out on it's own, there are small ridges running down his chest accenting the exterior ribs, there are small tubes, that are separate pieces, running from jaw to shoulder, small spikes on the elbows... I could go on. Seriously, the detailing in this figure, highlighted by that great paint application make this a real winner for me!

I think I'll be looking to add to my Alien collection, the Neca stuff really is top notch (for the most part!).

Go Figure!

Why not check out the guy who took the pictures? He's called Fezbongo and he's a grade A top dude.
